Overview

An ordinary taxi driver in Rotterdam sees his life change forever after picking up an elegant old lady.

This short film follows Henk, rude, lonely and hardened, whose unexpected ride transforms his outlook on life in a way he’ll never forget.

An ordinary taxi driver has his life turned upside down by taking a special ride with an elegant old lady. Henk an absent-minded, rude taxi driver in Rotterdam just does his job. His sober and often aggressive temper often makes the world too small. His children do not want to know anything about him any more, his wife has since divorced him, in short, he feels life has it in for him.

On an ordinary Saturday morning he is working his fares. In his own way, he cons his passengers with higher fare prices and just frankly is very rude. Of course he does not hesitate to tell others how to drive, shouting "tips". As he gets a new call for a pickup. An elegant old lady gets into a taxi with Henk. The woman's story and the taxi ride do not only influence his behavior, it literally changes his outlook on life. Thanks to the woman, it will be a ride that he will never forget.
